Gondwana University is a rural based university, right in the midst of a heavily forested area, catering to the college educational needs of rural and tribal youth....90% of the students come from farming families. There are around 200 odd affiliated colleges in the 2 districts of Gadchiroli and Chandrapur. The university which started in 2011 has a vision to become a role model for entire India in providing higher education in such less developed regions.
Gondwana University has conducted Train the Trainer Event for faculty from colleges affiliated to Gondwana University, for spreading SELF Workshops in all the affiliated colleges of the university. This format is a first and we wanted to pilot it for use at other university level, VC organised events in India.
